Mihika “Mahi” Sakharpe is a high school student, researcher, journalist, and STEM advocate with interests spanning aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, and technology policy. As Executive Director of Product Development, she leads projects that use technology and storytelling to make menstrual education and resources more accessible, including MĚI’s mobile app and children’s book.

Outside of MĚI, Mahi has conducted research in autonomous systems and aerospace, including developing a hybrid UAV-UGV platform through MIT BWSI that was presented at IEEE MIT URTC. She has also participated in the Summer Science Program (SSP) in Astrophysics and NASA’s Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars (VASTS) academy. Her work in STEM has earned recognition from NCWIT, Girls Who Code (GWC), and Harvard. When she isn’t coding, researching, or writing, Mahi can usually be found fencing, singing, learning languages, watching cricket, or eating sushi.
